Opposition to politically correct speech is widespread

To explore the question, we use data from the American National Election Survey 2016 Pilot Study (see our previous discussions of the dataset here). In that survey, people were asked “Some people think that the way people talk needs to change with the times to be more sensitive to people from different backgrounds. Others think that this has already gone too far and many people are just too easily offended. Which is closer to your opinion?”

About 62% of people surveyed express some level of resistance to changing the way people talk in order to be more sensitive. As can be seen in the chart below, white people are much more likely to express opposition to “political correct” speech than people who are black or Latino. Gender differences are more complex, however. On one hand, there are almost no differences between white men and women; about 70% of white women and men express anti-inclusivity attitudes. On the other hand, more non-white men express opposition to “politically correct” speech than non-white women: about 27% of black women and 30% of Latinas, compared to 42% of black men and 43% of Latino men.

It's time to end PC speech. All PC speech has achieved is forcing people to bottle up their anxiety because if they say what they feel they will be prosecuted. Allow free speech because the only way to change opinions is with free speech. Dictating speech only creates resentment.

What is troubling is that the margin of individual thinkers is so small. Group think which the "sensitivity" issue supports does not allow individual thought because the progressive oligarchs know what is best for you. Make no mistake the progressive oligarchs want to frame all discussion and control all thought because individuals and individual thinking are a threat.

Just like replacing BC and AD with BCE(Before Common Era)and AD with CE(Common Era)or a version of Huckleberry Finn/Tom Sawyer when they called that guy CRAZY JOE instead of INJIN JOE or speech codes so some bunch of whining little snowflakes wont get their delicate little feelings hurt

Apparently believing that we should be free to say what we want amounts to "anti-inclusivity attitudes".
Not 'pro-freedom of speech attitudes'. Anti-inclusivity...
What does that tell you about the authors?

Free speech is only free to those who espouse PC ideals. The biggest intimidator is the so called hate speech. Hate speech definition is subjective not objective thus making it easy to accuse someone of hate speech and leaving them unable to plead free speech not hate speech. Time to define free speech once and for all.
