Presumably this is supposed to be amusing

Story from Australia:
"Santa's out and swear words are in at national retail clothing chain Cotton On. You may get a lump of coal in your stocking for sending out the store's Christmas cards, which feature the slogans "Merry F---ing Christmas" and "Happy Christmas D---head".

The national clothing chain is selling the cards as part of the franchise's Typo stationery range, with a 10-pack selling for $5, the Geelong Advertiser reports. Wrapping paper emblazoned with similar slogans is also available in-store.

Religious leaders are unimpressed with the naughty cards, with Waterfront Christian Church pastor Jim McClure questioning the company's intentions. "I think it sounds like the store is trying to make a point against Christmas, and I'd really like to know who's behind it.

Swear words have worn out all their shock value through becoming common speech. Unfortunately we have no more words that can be uttered to declaim extreme emotion as the ones we used to have are all now so worn out by overuse as to have become so trite that people think they are appropriate to wear as an expression on clothing.

Just more attacks on Christianity. Imagine the reaction if the company sold Ramadan cards sporting a nicely drawn image of MuhamMAD.

It should be obvious to all that the so-called Christmas festival is only partly connected to Christianity and for most people it has nothing to do with religion at all. The "attack" on Christmas may be on the over-commercialization or the excessive drinking and partying.

Drinking and partying? That is not how Christians celebrate Christmas. As for the over-commercialization, you're 100% right, but again, it's not done by those who celebrate, but by those who only wish to profit from them.

The attack on Christmas is in fact, yet another attack on Christianity. Proof? What other religious holiday (or religion) is the constant target for attack and ridicule?

Looks more like a marketing attempt to snare the youth market.

What about the often maligined Festivus?
