Seneca Nation Wants Bloomberg Out Over 'Cowboy Hat and a Shotgun' Comment‏

We read:
"A Native American tribe is calling on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to either apologize or resign after he said on a radio show that Gov. David Paterson -- who's trying to rustle up millions in cigarette taxes from the tribes -- should grab "a cowboy hat and a shotgun" and demand the money.

The mayor made the comments last week during an on-air discussion about the cigarette tax the state of New York wants to impose on Indian tribes starting Sept. 1. The hike has already touched off a court battle, but Bloomberg called for Paterson to flex some frontier justice.

That didn't sit well with the New York tribes. "If it were any other race of people, he would really have been ridiculed over the words that he said," said J.C. Seneca, a Tribal Council member with the Seneca Nation of Indians.

The nation said that the mayor should resign "effective immediately" over his "inflammatory and racially insensitive" remarks -- or at least apologize.

But Bloomberg is not backing down. Spokeswoman Jessica Scaperotti said the mayor is not planning to apologize or resign. "There will not be an apology forthcoming," she said. "What the New York City mayor's office is looking to do is to have the tribes follow the law."

That IS rather surprising language from Bloomers and it would certainly get a conservative called racist -- but Bloomers is Left-leaning so he can say what he wants

The reason NYC's "little king" can say what he wants is because he has nothing to lose. After he violated the NYC Charter, (term limit law) and ignored the will of the people by buying himself a third term as mayor, he's done in NYC. He will take his multi-Billions, get on his private 737, and fly off to his private island with his boyfriend, with the full knowledge that he left NYC feeling like a Nazi concentration camp.

Life here has never been as expensive, nor as oppressive as it's become under the rule of this anti-2nd Amendment, anti-tobacco, limp-wristed Fascist. Example? Thanks to this hard-core, life-long, liberal Democrat, (that's the reality) NYC's on-street parking meters went from $.25 per hour, to $.75 for 12 minutes! Every fee and toll has at least trippled under his rule. You either live as he says you must, or he'll make you pay through the nose. Of course, most of these things don't apply to his mega-wealthy, ultra-leftist supporters in upper Manhattan.

I loathe Bloomberg in many, many ways, however I do not support the Native Americans on this one, they need to get tougher skin

---Why? Can you imagine the outcry if someone had said that Bloomberg needs to go on "The Auschwitz Diet?" Bloomberg's "joke" is basically "hey, we need a bunch of cowboys to shoot the Indians so they stop selling cigarettes we can't tax."

Besides, I'm tired of progressives getting away with stuff. Poor Dr. Laura is quitting her show just because she said the n-word three times on the air while making a point about how often black people use that word. So why should Bloomberg get any special treatment? At the very least he has to apologize.

Ever since the reign of comrade Mario Cuomo some years ago, NYS has been trying to get their hands on Indian money and land in any way they can, even though the seneca are a "sovereign nation". Cuomo even had heavily armed NYS police surround the tribal land for several weeks which almost lead to a bloodbath. Why? So the corrupt and incompetent politicians on NY could have more money to steal, waste, and give away.

Just stop and think back a couple of hundred years to what this country has done to Native Americans, and all in the name of greed. The last time a people were treated like that, the world called a holocaust.

Geez,

I think the mayor should consult Dr. Laura Schlessinger, just in case he slips up and calls the Native Americans REDSKINS!

Bloomberg lives for two things, and two things only.

1) generate revenue by "any" means.

2) make sure everyone lives as he says they should. That includes what you eat, what you drink, drive, smoke, etc.

After three terms, there still isn't a properly paved street in the entire city.

Who needs streets when he has a 15 story victory mosque?

As a former NY'er, i've been quite amused at what your little Napoleon (aka Bloomberg) has managed to get away with. Apparently, NY voters have gotten a lot dumber since i left.

But here's a question i'd like to ask, although i think i may already know the answer. Would he have been able to get elected the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd time, had he not been a multi-Billionaire?

Is he proof that public office goes to the highest bidder?

---I don't believe that, here in Florida I like Rick Scott because he supports the Arizona law and is not a career politician, I could care less if Rick has more money than McCollum. Besides, I usually admire rich politicians who don't need public financing of their campaigns. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not good enough to raise money on your own then you have no business running for office.
