Dutch declare a MUSLIM cartoon illegal!

Maybe there's hope for the Dutch yet!
"A Dutch Muslim group was fined 2,500 euros for publishing a cartoon which suggested the Holocaust was made up or exaggerated by Jews, a Dutch appeals court ruled on Thursday.

The court in the western city of Arnhem overruled an acquittal handed down by a Dutch lower court, saying the cartoon, published on the website of the Arab European League's (AEL) in 2006, was "unnecessarily hurtful".

The cartoon shows two men in Auschwitz looking at several dead bodies. "I don't think they are Jews", says one man. The one man replies: "We have to get to the 6,000,000 (figure) somehow'. Six million Jews were killed during the Holocaust.

The AEL circulated it in 2006 after a Danish newspaper published a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad which triggered an outcry among Muslims in many countries.

Have the Dutch got it right? Yes in not being intimidated by islamists and claims of islamophobia, but not right in upholding censorship of a mere cartoon however "hurtful" it may be - that's the same as the islamists wanted re the Danish cartoons

The headline should read;

DUTCH FINALLY DISCOVER REALITY!

Good! Those Muslims have to pay for what they did. They don't support free speech when it comes to others, they don't deserve free speech themselves.

Speaking of Muslims;

QUOTABLE QUOTES:
"The common misperception on the right is that Mr. Obama is another Jimmy Carter: an incompetent liberal whose presidency is being reduced to rubble under the onslaught of repeated failures. The very opposite, however, is true. He is the most consequential president in our lifetime, transforming America into something our Founding Fathers would find not only unrecognizable, but repugnant. Like all radical revolutionaries, he is consumed by the pursuit of power - attaining it, wielding it and maximizing it. Mr. Obama's fledgling thug state must be stopped."

News From The World of PC;

Muslim Massacre at Fort Hood Downgraded to "Workplace Violence"

(Posted on Moonbattery by Van Helsing)

Remarkably, it has taken the politically correct bureauweenies atop the Army less than a year to respond to the terrorist massacre at Fort Hood. Here's how the butt-kissing brass will make sure there are no more Islamic terror attacks by Muslim infiltrators within the military:

More than nine months after the Fort Hood, Texas, massacre, Defense Secretary Robert Gates has ordered a series of changes meant to prevent such incidents.

In a 26-page memo released [Friday] and signed Aug. 18, Gates ordered a series of procedural and policy changes that focus on identifying, responding to and preventing potential "workplace violence".

On Nov. 5, 2009, Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, an American-born Muslim of Palestinian descent, allegedly shot and killed 13 people [actually 14, but libs don't count unborn babies] and wounded dozens more at the Texas base. …

The changes include plans to educate military commanders on signs of potential workplace violence, increase commanders' access to personnel records and improve emergency notifications and the 911 system. (AOL News)

Apparently scrutinizing Muslims with radical associations who wave large red banners in advance of their killing sprees was not found to be necessary. Army bases like Fort Hood will no doubt remain gun-free zones, ensuring that our troops are helpless sitting ducks for the next Major Hasan.

The important thing is to twist ourselves into whatever demented contortions might be necessary so as to pretend that Hasan was just a disgruntled worker who happened to go postal, and his scream of "Allahu Akbar" as the bloodshed began was only an irrelevant slip of the tongue.

I'm with Anon 2:04
This is not a positive thing. How is being 'unnecessarily hurtful' a crime? Just because they are at least applying the law evenly does not make it a good law.

no reference in any Dutch newspaper I could find...

What did get attention is a new labour union for homeless people, fighting for "the right to proper housing" and things like that.

Looking at all the "Muslim issues" in the news these days, (ie: NYC mosque, etc.) and noticing how much support they get from bleeding-heart, non-thinking, non-Muslims, inspite of all the horrendous acts of violence that have been commited in the name of Islam, i fear it will take "many more" acts of outrageous violence to make people see them for what they truely are, "a radical cult who's teachings demand they dominate the world and kill all non-believers".

Living about 6 miles from NYC's Ground Zero, and having watched it happen, (up close) i have always maintained that generally speaking, the American people have been so "dumbed-down" by a leftist media, that it will take far more than one 9/11 to make them wake-up to the realities of the world we live in. And unfortunately, the refusal (fear) to deal with reality is not limited to the US.

Let's not forget that over 11 million people were killed in the Holocaust--it is not all about Jews.
