The hate never dies among British Leftists

"John McDonnell, a Labour leadership candidate, was applauded loudly yesterday for telling a trade union audience that he wished to go back to the 1980s and assassinate Margaret Thatcher.
The MP later said his remarks were intended as a joke but the standing ovation he received underlined how large sections of the party remain tilted to the Left.
Describing himself as a victim of the former Tory Prime Minister’s policies because he worked for the Greater London Council and National Union of Mineworkers, Mr McDonnell said he would be glad to “go back to the 1980s and assassinate Thatcher”.
He appeared the most popular of the five contenders at the leadership hustings at the GMB union’s conference in Southport.

Apparently, labor unions are not a dangerous and corrosive force only here in the US. The Communist-inspired labor movement has been (and continues to be) a truly destructive force here in America. It continues to protect incompetence with never-ending demands for higher wages. What the members don't see is that those higher wages mean higher dues for the unions leaders, money that is then funneled into radical, Left-wing political causes whether the members agree of not.
Union leaders, and the corrupt politicians who are allied with them, take advantage of the fact that generally speaking, their members are not too bright, and will usually go along with anything so long as it's "packaged" right and sounds like more money for them.
A perfect example was the tens-of-thousands of members of the AFL-CIO who saw Jimmy Hoffa as their god, while at the same time, being totally oblivious to the "proven fact" that he, and his organized crime partners, were robbing them blind.
Obviously, Hoffa, and his political/criminal pals knew that the best way to keep fools happy is to take advantage of them.
It seems Brits have far more to worry about than unions. They have an effeminate, dumbo-eared future king who appears to be turning into a Muslim! (LOL)
