Must not mock illegal aliens

Halloween costume incorrect:
"A Southern California immigrant rights group on Friday asked the Target store chain and a costume company to stop selling an "illegal alien" Halloween costume it said is offensive to immigrants. The costume features the mask of an alien with a green card and an orange jumpsuit with "illegal alien" written across the front.

Angelica Salas, executive director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, wrote e-mails to Minneapolis-based Target and Wisconsin-based BuySeasons, Inc. calling the costume "distasteful, mean-spirited, and ignorant of social stigmas and current debate on immigration reform." The group said it also planned to send letters to other companies that are selling the costume.

Target is removing the costume from the site after receiving several complaints, company spokesman Joshua Thomas said Friday.

A reader writes: "So, so tired of this kind of stuff. Be polite to each other, sure! I agree with that. But this is over the edge! How does a fictional character hurt their feelings? So tired of the bunch of crybabies in this generation!!"

The group who got the costume pulled have of course shot themselves in the foot. Pictures of it have now gone worldwide via the internet.

More background here.

This is so true.

If and when we, as a nation, grow-up, we'll stop caring about what people who have entered our country ILLEGALLY, people who feed off of our hard-earned tax money, think and/or feel. Those who are trying to turn America into Mexico-north will use any tactic (such as the intimidation in this case) to play on the guilt of the notoriously weak-minded, guilt-ridden American people.

Our national addiction to political correctness is only one of the weapons used against us. It is also being used to diminish our freedoms and liberties. This would never be tolerated by a strong-willed people, which obviously does not include US!

There was a time when immigrants who came to the US were tough and willing to deal with adversity for a better life than the hell they left behind in (insert country.) Two things here: (1) If the immigrants are whining about this, they clearly aren't the mentally strong caliber of old and I don't want that type here. (2) If this argument is only brought on behalf of the immigrants, by US citizens, either naturalized or by birth, then these ARE they jelly-spined types that are aiding the collapse of the US and THEY should be kicked out, as they do not deserve to hold the position of American Citizen.

And what the heck is this immigrants rights crap?! Applying this term to the illegals obviously, aren't they technically only obligated to have basic human rights? All others defined by the Constitution of the US are for its citizens. Is there precedence to say otherwise?

The problem isn't the immigrants, the problem is the immigration groups. I've known mexicans in my personal life, most would probably find these costumes funny, but immigrant groups are an entirely different matter.

These groups who "claim" to be for immigrant rights are in fact south and central American Marxist organizations, who's goal is to gain a political foothold in the US. To them, the illegals represent only one thing, numbers.

These organizations are getting plenty of help from Democrats and the Left, because the Democrats see the illegals as 20-40 Million potential votes, which of course means more power for them. Don't make the mistake in thinking this is just a bunch of illegals demanding more of things they have no right to. This is a "highly organized and thought-out plan."

Right now, CNN is running a "special" TV series based on this very topic. It's being presented by one of their Spanish/American talking-heads, Solidad O'Bryan, who stated (on-the-air), "America will be a Spanish speaking country in 25 years"! If the American people remain alseep, she'll be right.

This is nothing compared to the banning of wicked witch costumes that offend wickans, whose religion was founded as a cult following of a B movie worth avoiding because it's one of those bad taste in the mouth ones that still make you cringe, years later.
