Dissent is still the highest form of patriotism, right?

Only when you are dissenting from GOP policies, apparently.
"Remember what people on the left used to say about questioning the policies of the occupant of the White House? Going back several years and ending only a few months ago, I seem to remember a lot of people talking about how “dissent is patriotic.” After all, wasn’t it lefty saint Howard Zinn himself who went so far as to declare that “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism”? Even politicians like the current U.S. Secretary of State, sick and tired though she was at the time, got into the act:

Yet now, like in the fickle world of fashion, dissent is strictly outrĂ© - an unsavory pastime for angry redneck losers with a birth certificate fetish. These days all the chic politicos are doing what’s best for the country and getting on board the Healthcare Express, full speed ahead. And much like another infamous vehicle from the recent past, the cabal that’s doing the driving is terrified that if they slow down, the entire effort will blow up in their faces. Hence the need to intimidate anyone raising uncomfortable questions.

I somehow missed Obama telling his healthcare critics what great patriots they are. We hear that they are a "mob" instead! The usual disposable principles of the Left.

What has been going on since the election, in fact, since the campaign started, is a very clear indication that the current system of govt. in the US is a total failure. One of the main reasons it's a failure is beacuse it's based entirely on lies and corruption. If it were possible to eliminate those two factors, the govt. would cease to function and collapse.

Another reason it has failed is because we have now reached the point where the govt. totally ignors the will of the people. The Founding Fathers built this system so that the govt. would work for, and serve the people. That has been completely reversed. The people have now been relegated to the status of worker ants, who's only function is to produce for the state, and for those who refuse to produce.

Example? if you look back at the two years Obummer campaigned for the WH, (and if you chose to be honest) you will see that almost every campaign promise he made has turned out to be a lie. Not a mistake. A lie! They were lies because he and his handlers knew he would never actually make them happen. In fact, the only truthful thing he said was, "that America would undergo a dramtic change". Of course, he didn't dare tell the people what that change would actually be. He couldn't possibly tell them that the change he meant was going from capitalism and deomcracy, to Marxism. And make no mistake, that's exactly where we're being taken.

Personally, i never blame the elected lying crooks in government. I blame the weak, mindless people who keep re-electing the same crooks and expecting things to be different simply because of different party labels. There is no longer any difference!

I believe it was Sigmund Freud who, when asked to define true insanity said,

"insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results".
