No free speech about Islam -- again

Portland, Oregon:
"Mayor Tom Potter and a coalition of community members have asked The Oregonian newspaper not to distribute a controversial DVD about radical Muslims in Sunday's editions. KATU obtained an e-mail written by an Oregonian reporter saying the DVD will be inserted into Sunday's paper as a paid advertisement. Top brass at the paper would not confirm that, however.

More than 70 newspapers across the country have distributed the DVDs this month. They were paid for by the New York-based Clarion Fund, a nonprofit founded in 2006, which targeted about 28 million households mostly in battleground election states. The group's focus is "the most urgent threat of radical Islam."

Never picked up for traditional distribution, "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West" features scenes of Muslim children being urged to become suicide bombers, 9/11 carnage and interviews with critics of Islam.

Portland businessman and former mayoral candidate Sho Dozono believes the DVD will incite fear and hatred in the community and is pure hate-mongering and Muslim bashing.

As opposed to suicide bombings, raising children to desire martyrdom, and flying planes into buildings, which are all things we need to "understand."

9/11 WAS the ultimate hate crime!

What additional proof do youneed!

Wow, playing recordings of what they actually say is hate-mongering? I guess we should just outlaw video and audio recording because recording muslims and playing back the records is soooo hateful!

But what about the hate spewed by the muslims in the first place? Not a problem? Just showing it to others is a problem?

The ability to make such a ridiculous claim seems to be a symptom of mental disease. It's such warped, perverted thinking that I have a hard time even calling it "thinking." They shall have their reward:

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight! Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine And valiant men in mixing strong drink, Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!"
(Isaiah 5:20-23 NAS95S)

I wonder what the ACLU's stance is on the distribution of this material?

After all, aren't they in favor of defending 1st ammendment rights?
