The Ad Hominem Fallacy is Alive and Well in NC

The ad hominem fallacy occurs when you judge the truth or worth of a statement by the person who uttered it rather than by the evidence for it. Hitler often expressed a love of dogs and children. Does that mean that love of dogs and children is wrong?

"Sensitivity training has been ordered for a high school soccer team that broadcast part of a Nazi speech over the public address system before a game....

The aired segment was taken from a speech by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels and contained the team's slogan, "On to victory."
