'Gay cure' London bus adverts banned
We read:
"Advertisements which suggested gay people could be cured have been banned from London buses, UK transport chiefs say.
The campaign was due to run for two weeks on the side of vehicles serving five routes in the capital, including top tourist destinations such as St Paul's Cathedral, Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus.
The posters, by Christian group Core Issues Trust, stated: "Not gay! Post-gay, ex-gay and proud. Get over it!" and were believed to mock pro-gay group Stonewall's recent campaign which featured adverts saying: "Some people are gay. Get over it."
But following a huge public outcry which labelled the Core Issues' campaign homophobic, London mayor Boris Johnson, who chairs Transport for London (TfL), on Thusday night ordered the adverts to be pulled.

What have homosexuals done to be such an especially favored and protected class who may not be criticized? What have they every done for anyone besides themselves?

Regardless of any genetic factors, the fact remains that the actions of being gay are nothing more than choices. So stop being a pansy-ass and make the right choice to just be normal and choose heterosexuality. Otherwise, you remain simply a societal oddity.
But i bet theyll allow for gay rainbow flags and pictures of two men kissing where kids can see them
Anon 1:00 - The evidence for genetic factors in being gay was weak to start with and recent advances which show that genetic changes can occur as a result of behavioral patterns makes that argument even weaker.
Anonymous 2:36,
JJ is not saying they have contributed nothing to society, he is simply asking why they are given extra consideration and protection from any kind of criticism.
If you say they are unnatural, you are labeled a homophobe and driven from your job.
If you protest against same-sex marriage, you treated as a pariah and labeled intolerant.
If they are able to defend their lifestyle, why can't others equally defend heterosexual marriage?
We all have a right to express our opinion. People with religious or moral reasons to speak against homosexuality have as much right to say so in a public forum. Get over it!
Opinions hurt nothing but a weak person's sensibilities.
So 333 AM Yes of course you have a right to your opinions, but are they justified?
1. The "gays" are only being given group-consideration against group-mistreatment including physical attack on grounds of just being identified as "gay" by those just intent on attacking random persons or groups that they are prejudiced against.
2. Why do you think anybody is attacking heterosexual marriage?
3. Then you must also support the right to speak against your type of homophobia.
Anonymous 3:54,
You make my point so well.
Exactly what 'type' of homophobia could you glean from my words? All I did was clarify what I thought JJ was saying, and offer a few examples.
Not one word in my message stated my opinion, one way or another, on the issue of homosexuality. And yet here you are saying I'm homophobic.
Yeah rite 4:44 AM - no homophobic sentiments or insinuations whatsoever in your comments. But I guess you have your own definitions for everything!
Anon 5:05
A careful reading of 4:44's original post finds no expression of opinion about sexuality. No homophobic sentiments, no insinuations of any kind.
It's all in your own mind.
11:49 - I doubt you have a mind!
That is Dean's so-called "mind".
Englands going to hell in a handbasket in a real hurry
Anyone with a "mind" knows when someone is antipathetic to homosexuals and who is not, and clearly Dean is, and so is the poster he is supporting (without any justification).
Go Away Bird in your own handbasket - coz everyone thinks you're just a joke!
Annon 2:42 and your losing your marbles very very quickly
