Fired for speech  -- and by a conservative magazine

They have been bluffed by the Left.  "White flight" shows that most white Americans don't want to be around blacks but you are not allowed to say so
"Hot on the heels of John Derbyshire’s dismissal from National Review over a racially-charged article, the magazine has fired another contributor over the same issue. This time, it’s University of Illinois professor emeritus Robert Weissberg.

It appears the Professor spoke at a conference for the “American Renaissance” magazine in March, where he discussed “viable alternatives” to white nationalism, like “whitopias.”

The American Renaissance website described his speech:

He pointed out that there are still many “Whitopias” in America and that there are many ways to keep them white, such as zoning that requires large houses, and a cultural ambiance or classical music and refined demeanor that repels undesirables. This approach to maintaining whiteness has the advantage that people can make a living catering to whites in their enclaves.

A. Levy..........You've said it well. I wouldn't be surprised if Murdock, given his problems with the hacking scandal, is trying to curry favor with the Libs. As to National Review, one can only wonder if this PCism would be going on if William Buckley was still at the helm.

Robert Weissberg should not be compared to John. This Weissberg guy seems more like a white supremist than a speaker of truth.

A Levi,

If you think that Faux News is left wing, there is NO hope for this country. Rediculous.

Replace "white" with "black" and the guy would probably have been given a promotion.

I didn't say "left-wing". They're not that obvious. With Fox, (IMO) it's more subtle, but the signs are there. Fox is seen by many as being "conservative", when in fact, all they are is less liberal than their competition. Their addiction to "PC-speak" proves the point.

"Whites don't object to association with blacks. White's object to bad behaving blacks. There is a difference..."

This, i think, is very true. The problem is, the percentage of blacks who (do not) behave badly is so small that it doesn't have much of an impact. Unfortunately, it's blacks who try to live well, work hard, and take responsibility for their actions who pay the highest price for the actions of their fellow blacks.

I grew up listening to William F. Buckley on Firing Line and reading his articles in The National Review. He must be spinning in his grave right now with the weakness shown by his magazine. The magazine back then never shied away from controversy or worried about political correctness. How sad.

Hope they lose lots of conservative readers

If PC seeps into even conservative publications without even being noticed, we are so royally screwed.

There is no way any problems will ever be solved if no one is permitted to speak of them!!
