The "cat" in question is an Australian Leftist lesbian politician of Chinese origin (I kid you not). A conservative Senator "miaowed" at her in the Australian Parliament
A Liberal [Party] senator's cat-call at a government minister has reignited a row over politicians' sexist attitudes, with Labor accusing coalition MPs of "feral" behaviour.
Finance Minister Penny Wong was arguing with opposition senators about when Treasury secretary Martin Parkinson would appear before an economics committee hearing.
Tasmanian Liberal [party] senator David Bushby made the cat noise as she was answering a question, which drew a sharp rebuke from Senator Wong.

That women are sometimes "catty" has long been a very common observation. Now forbidden? It's "sexist" apparently. Given the abuse that Leftists dish out ("Nazi" etc.) it seems pretty mild to me.

The student editor was an ass. The yearbook is not a school paper. It is a book of memories for these kids to cherish. It is the wrong place to be editorializing on the cheerleaders' skirts. It sounds like the kid is a whiney little wanna be who wanted to get back at the "in" crowd. Yes, he has a right to free speech, but he should have written an article for the school paper.
There are worse names than "catty" that could have been said to an oriental lesbian, but she could have countered with reference to porcine chauvinism.
Political Correctness is just anther word for SOCIALISM
You are what you eat
Such a comment by the senator should be dismissed as the day to day political bullshit that goes on in Australian parliamentary chambers. He would would have been better off saying 'I'm sorry but I seem to have the Wong idea!'
Overpaid assholes all.

Women are catty?
Isn't it amazing how so many people can waste so much of their time discussing something that's common knowledge.
A better way to spend our time would be exposing cretins like Anon 12:54, who obviously suffers from acute verbal and mental diarrhea.
