Bad "black hole"

We read:
"County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections "has become a black hole" because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."

I guess the protester did not know any physics. Sounds dumb to me. Or as Taranto said: "Maybe the Texas Legislature is just niggardly when it comes to funding science education"

Not only knows no physics, but reads no news. It seems the Hadron Collider is getting quite a bit of coverage over the possibility of it creating black holes. Perhaps the commissioner should look outside his single issue take on the world.

That's very interesting deam. I wonder who's in charge of creating the black @sses to go with those black holes?

Oh, They already exist?

Oh Yea, I forgot about Reverend Al Sharpton, O.J. Simpson and Tawana Brawley.

I don't know about everyone else, but this Hadron Collider scares me.

I'll have to do more research on it to ease my mind that we're not creating something outside our bounds to control safely.

As soon as "Sen. Nobody" gets elected in Nov. you can expect to see a major outbreak of "ultra-sensitivity" in the black community. As one black female said on TV the other day, "dis be our time and wees gonna take it all!" And don't think for one minute she didn't mean it!

Hello Good Gentles All!

With respect to Commissioner Price I am reminded of a quote from the great Milton:

Sir, your ignorance almost subdues my patience.

Pax Domini Sit Semper Vobiscum,

InFides

I heard a snippet of this guy continuing to defend his "taking offense," saying that things are always called "black" because it's a pejorative term. "Angel's Food Cake is white, while Devil's Food Cake is black" is one of his enlightening remarks.

While it may be true that some terms are, or were, intentionally pejorative, "Black Hole" is the actual scientific description because (a) it's black and (b) it's a hole in the the "space-time continuum" where the regular laws of physics don't seem to apply.

This guy, in the end, is just a hypersensitive moron. I'd call him a cretin, but I've come to learn the people of Crete were really rather smart.....

Maybe he thought he hear "Black Ho" and is just now trying to cover his tracks for his obvious gaffe.
