The media double standard again

We read:
"L'Express, one of France's leading news weeklies, similar to Time Magazine or Newsweek, was ready for anything. Two separate editions were prepared, with two covers. At the top we see the winner with the headline: Barack Obama: The man who can change the world. Below we see the alternative with this ominous headline: McCain, Palin: The couple that arouses fear; their conservatism, their failings, their militarism.

There is a cartoon on the same theme below:

The cartoon very accurately portrays our main-stream media. With nearly half the electorate voting for McCain the media, basing their stories on Electoral College votes, names Obama's victory a landslide, and claims he has united the country.

It's time we got rid of the Electoral College and not only let individual voters indicate who should be elected, but also give and accurate picture of how much support presidential candidates have.

Not just a landslide, they're calling it a "mandate"! But it's not the first time the media has simply ignored half the population simply to promote it's Leftist agenda. As long as the people are not free to pick their president, elections in this country will never be fair or honest. And since the Electoral College is made up of political hacks, you already know who will be the president in 2012.

Free country? (LOL) It sure is, but for whom?

Ah yes, the Leftist spin machine at work, calling a "Throw the bums out!" election a "landslide" and "mandate". I predict we will see two more "Throw the rest of the bums out" elections in 2010 and 2012. I wonder how the press will try to spin those. Maybe conservatives who recognize the busting of a huge credit bubble and who know how to profit from it can buy control of The New York Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc. when their current owners go broke, and the assets go on sale cheap.
