Huckabee criticizes Beck for 'progressive' claim

Nice to see that "progressive" has now got the same bad odor as "liberal". Beck knows his history so knows how Fascistic the "progressives" of the early 20th century were. So it is even more of a put-down than it first appears
"Mike Huckabee is criticizing fellow Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck for calling the former Arkansas governor and potential presidential candidate a "progressive."

Huckabee released a statement Thursday criticizing Beck for calling him a "progressive" on his radio show earlier this week. Beck on Tuesday described Huckabee as someone who doesn't want to "disrupt giant government" and noted Huckabee's defense of first lady Michelle Obama's anti-obesity efforts.

Huckabee defended the anti-obesity efforts. He said Beck "seems to fancy himself a prophet of sorts."

Huck never impressed me much during the battle for the 2008 GOP Presidential nomination. The man I had hopes for was Fred Thompson

In fact, it is those on the Left who have replaced the word liberal with progressive. For some reason, actually many reasons, liberals are afraid/ashamed to call themselves liberals. This is especially obvious in the MSM when they describe guests as, conservative writer, conservative commentator, etc. You never hear them describe a guest as a liberal anything!

As for Huckabee, he is (IMO) a progressive RINO, ala Sen. Juan McLoser of AZ. IMO, they both lack the will and the strength to fight the Left, or do anything for the people other than what they've always done. Nothing!

As for Glenn Beck, i no longer watch him. While i totally agree with, (and appreciate) how he has exposed what is really going on in "our" govt, including naming names, it seems Mr. Beck is quite confused as to just what he wants to be, preacher, historian, professor, apologist for MLK, lecturer. Personally, i think he desires to be the next Billy Graham. Of course, he has that right. But if i wanted to hear a sermon, i'd watch one of the Sunday morning religious shows.

And yet, the American people sit by and allow the two political parties to restrict (manipulate) the system so that only they can occupy the WH. That says a lot about the American people, and none of it is good.

I lost all respect for Huckabee when:

1) I heard he was goveror of the same State as "Slick Willie".

2) When he freed a convicted killer who then went on to murder several police officers.

He's a douche-bag!
