We read:
"In the local news section on Sunday, March 23, there was a nice article about the city of Pasadena's "Spring Hunt" held the day before at Jackie Robinson Park.
It was good to see that the Spring Bunny was able to make an appearance at the worthwhile event.
Unfortunately, the Star-News used the "E" word in a photo caption. How can there be Easter eggs at a Spring Hunt?
This was very offensive to the progressive community, and I trust that an apology and retraction will be forthcoming.

And the amusing thing is that eggs and bunnies are in fact pre-Christian fertility symbols. There is nothing in the Bible about either. If that were explained to the Leftist dictators, they would no doubt be delighted to allow them. It is not religion they oppose, just Christianity.

That is just silly. Were they hunting for springs? If they hunted for Easter eggs, it was an Easter egg hunt.
I read up on all this once, long time ago. Don't remember all the details, but I do know the Easter bunny, Easter (Ishtar) and eggs are all pagan, not Christian. Unfortunately, way too many Christians believe it is ok to incorporate pagen icons into Christianity. Ah well, I've been told the path is narrow.

And yet, there are still fools who believe there is no anti-Christian movement in this country. (and many other countries) It is in fact, a strong, dedicated, and well-organized movement, spearheaded by the far-left!
WHAT!!!
You don't mean to tell me that the Easter bunny isn't in the bible, do you? I thought the E. B. was mentioned in the Gospel of Luke.
No - that was the "Hare from Hell"! Acually the "Easter Bunny" is a mutation of the March hare - which was so noticeable in Springtime for the males "boxing" each other for dominance.
just like Christmas, Easter was originally a pagan holiday that the early Christians hijacked to help convert people. The Christmas tree, mistletoe, easter eggs and the easter bunny are all pagan symbols of life and fertility. Closed minded libs and haters of all things Christian have spent a lot of energy trying to stamp out everything they consider Christian without learning about the true background of these holidays. They'd be better off promoting the origins as pagan, then even the Christians would want to do away with them.
