Incorrect "Fighting Sioux"

The Indian-name obsession rolls on. College sports teams who name themselves after Indian groups are perversely said to be demeaning the Indians concerned when blind Freddy vision-challenged Frederick can see that they use such names to make themselves sound BETTER, not worse.

The University of North Dakota has not yet succumbed to the paranoia and still has a team called the "Fighting Sioux". Opposition to the name is not coming from the home side, however. It is coming from another college that they will be playing -- Dartmouth. The Dartmouth athletic director has APOLOGIZED profusely for arranging a game with such an incorrectly-named team.
