Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh respond to Arizona shooting

We read:
"Conservative media figures like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are raising fears that liberals could use the Tucson, Ariz., shootings as an excuse to clamp down on their voices, even as two prominent liberals made public statements urging that the Federal Communications Commission and Fox News do just that.

Limbaugh and Beck, along with other conservative voices like Sarah Palin and Bill O’Reilly, had come under fire in the hours after the shooting from liberals such as Keith Olbermann and Paul Krugman, who accused them of using violent rhetoric that could push an unhinged person over the edge. But no link has been found between suspected shooter Jared Lee Loughner and any of these media figures or Palin.

Limbaugh railed against the left’s attempts to “massage” the shooting “for their political benefit,” saying Democrats were just waiting for an excuse to “regulate out of business their political opponents.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody in the Obama administration or some FCC bureaucrat or some Democrat congressman has it already written up, such legislation, sitting in a desk drawer somewhere just waiting for the right event for a clampdown,” Limbaugh said. “They have been trying this ever since the Oklahoma City bombing.”

In fact, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), the third-ranking Democrat in Congress and one of the more outspoken voices in the wake of the shooting, blamed vitriol in the public discourse for the events and told the Charleston Post and Courier on Monday he wants to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, a defunct policy requiring media to cover both sides of controversial issues that many in the industry expect would mean the death of conservative talk radio.

I have no use for Palin, Olberman, Beck, Maddow, O'Reilly, Krugman, Limbaugh, Clyburn, Kos, and the rest of the 6-Sigma extremists, left and right. The USA would be a far better place without them.

Bring back decency in the public discourse.

I'm not a Limbaugh fan but, what he's saying is quite obvious. Leftist Democrats are using the AZ shooting to get their pet projects, especially those rejected by the American people, into law, via the emotions of the moment which the Left is blowing out of proportion. Do you really think all this, including that "Memorial service" held by Obama that was "clearly" a political rally, would be happening if that poor congresswoman was a Republican?

There is another question to be asked here, but unfortunately, one that's far beyond the intellectual capacity of most Americans. How much longer will they allow the highly-biased MSM to exert so much control over their govt, and have a louder voice than they do?

"[Jared Loughner] knows what's going on. He knows that the Democrat Party is attempting to find anybody but him to blame. He knows if he plays his cards right, he's just a victim. He's the latest in a never-ending parade of victims brought about by the unfairness of America....[He] understands he's got a political party doing everything it can, plus a local sheriff doing everything that they can to make sure he's not convicted of murder — but something lesser." -- Rush Limbaugh

"Bring back decency in the public discourse"? You must be joking, right? Take a look at the "public discourse" that occurred back in the 1800s for some good chuckles. Those guys knew how to insult each other with panache! Back then, they settled arguements with pistols at ten paces, not tweets...

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), isn't he the lying black racist who accused Tea Party members of calling him a nigger, and worse, on the steps of the Capitol? What the old lying racist was too stupid to realize was the fact that there was an army of media cameras and microphones there, along with dozens of private cameras. AND NOT ONE WORD OR ACT OF ANY KIND OF DISRESPECT WAS RECORDED! If it had been, the highly-biased, leftist media would have been showing that act to us for days on end. Did anyone call for an apology from the old black racist? Yeah, right!
