Must not insult the sacred Obama
Leftists all over the world used the most gross insults about George Bush and that was OK. But Obama is "different", somehow -- a sacred person apparently
"A British teenager who sent an e-mail to the White House calling President Obama a "pr*ck" was banned from the U.S. for life, The Sun reported Monday.
The FBI asked local cops to tell college student Luke Angel, 17, that his drunken insult was "unacceptable."
Angel claims he fired off a single e-mail criticizing the U.S. government after seeing a television program about the 9/11 attacks. He said, "I don't remember exactly what I wrote as I was drunk. But I think I called Barack Obama a pr*ck. It was silly -- the sort of thing you do when you're a teenager and have had a few."
Angel, of Bedford, in central England, said it was "a bit extreme" for the FBI to act. "The police came and took my picture and told me I was banned from America forever. I don't really care but my parents aren't very happy," he said.

President Obama is a prick. There I said it. I'm a U.S. citizen, and I DARE you to deport me.
This is just another indication that in the US, under this Marxist government, freedom is just an illusion. You are only as free as they allow you to be. America is ripe for another revolution.
"President Obama is a prick. There I said it. I'm a U.S. citizen, and I DARE you to deport me." he said as the black helicopter landed in his front yard.

LOL, Anon 12:45, you a funny guy.
If Bush had done it they would have call him a dicator.
Still, it's not smart for a foreigner to insult the president of a country you want to visit and then expect to be received with open arms. A tourist visa is a privilege, it is not a right.
QUOTABLE QUOTES
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."
– John Adams
"A tourist visa is a privilege, it is not a right."
Is free speech also a privilege?
"Is free speech also a privilege?"
---So should illegal aliens get the right to vote then? By the way, did you know the INS bars communists from coming to America? See? Countries place limits on who gets to come. Do I agree with what the Obama administration did? No. That teenager is no more a terrorist threat than a girl scout. However, when I make my travel plans I don't insult the president of the country I'm visiting.
---So should illegal aliens get the right to vote then?
Unbelievable. Have you ever actually read the Constitution?
The 26th Amendment states "1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age."
Got it? The right of US CITIZENS.... not the rights of anyone who happens to wander into the country and stick around illegally.
However, when I make my travel plans I don't insult the president of the country I'm visiting.
So you don't support free speech. We recently had this conversation about whether you are on the left or on the right.
Clearly, your continual positions against free speech - free political speech at that - shows you are not conservative or a "libertarian."
religion of the perpetually offended and stupid,, iam gay and not offended easily.
"Unbelievable. Have you ever actually read the Constitution?"
---Well, you're the one implying that a foreign national can insult our president and then expect to get his tourist visa approved.
In fact, "free speech" doesn't apply because there's no free speech in England and as far as I know, British subjects are not entitled to the freedoms the US Constitution provides, at least not while they're still in England.
"So you don't support free speech."
---Of course I support free speech, but I also realize that the INS can be capricious in deciding who gets a visa to come to America and who doesn't. People get their visas rejected everyday for all kinds of reasons. America isn't some kind of giant Wal-Mart where everyone is welcomed.
Seriously, you're like the guy who shows up to a job interview dressed like a homeless person, urinates on the lobby, call the boss a jackass, and then wonder why you didn't get the job.
Visiting America is not a right, it is a PRIVILEGE!
Um Bobby, it was not the INS that banned him. It was the FBI, which by the way, does not have the legal authority to do so.
Wow! A drunk teenager sends an email and the full weight of our mighty government responds...
So how do we get that kid to send more emails listing all the problems here that need that kind of response...?

You often make a lot of sense but I can't back you on this one.
The INS, surely, as a government authority delegated with executive power can act in ways people may find harsh - but they cannot act capriciously.
Any authority they exercise must be exercised properly, for a proper purpose and in compliance with the power giving that authority. Anything else would deny the rule of law and make us all subject to the whims of some petty bureaucrat drunk on their own power.
Must not insult The Obamessiah.
The US President is also a politician like many countries' presidents, and it should be possible for people anywhere in the world to criticise him/her or be rude, as a government doesn't own the country it temporarily governs.
Btw. The UK may not have the same kind of Constitution as the US but the citizens do indeed have rights relating to free speech under Common Law and European law.
The guy doesn't remember what he wrote during drunken rampage on his keyboard and the other side isn't saying but based on the reaction I strongly suspect that the guy wrote a lot more than what he "remembers".
Obama does indeed have a thin skin but it takes a lot more that one simple name call to warrant that kind of reaction.
---Well, you're the one implying that a foreign national can insult our president and then expect to get his tourist visa approved.
I will take that as a "no" answer to the question of whether you have ever read the Constitution.
In fact, "free speech" doesn't apply because there's no free speech in England and as far as I know, British subjects are not entitled to the freedoms the US Constitution provides, at least not while they're still in England.
"Free speech" is a human right codified by the Constitution. The right itself would exist whether it is law or not.
The question is, "why are you against the right of free speech?"
---Of course I support free speech,..
All evidence to the contrary.
People get their visas rejected everyday for all kinds of reasons. America isn't some kind of giant Wal-Mart where everyone is welcomed.
There is a difference between being welcomed and being banned. The kid - not even of legal age - wrote something stupid and you agree that he should be banned for life from these shores? And you say that you support free speech?
Seriously, you're like the guy who shows up to a job interview dressed like a homeless person, urinates on the lobby, call the boss a jackass, and then wonder why you didn't get the job.
Nicely said. Now, what does it have to do with this situation? Absolutely nothing. Typical for you.
To me this is not an issue of free speech, it's an issue of immigration and common sense.
We are not global citizens, our rights outside of America are limited by other countries. By the same token, a brit doesn't have any right to come to my country anymore than I can come to his. Nowadays you can't even take a cruise without a passport. It would b politically correct to assume that a foreigner can insult the President of the country he wants to visit and still be welcomed with open arms.
I don't like Obama and I think the FBI overreacted. However, there are times that the government is free to use discretion.
To me this is not an issue of free speech, it's an issue of immigration and common sense.
Of course is isn't an issue of free speech to you because you don't believe in free speech. You are trying to change the argument away from the core issue, that the kid was punished by the US government for something that we hold dear - the right of free speech.
It isn't an issue of immigration because the kid wasn't planning on coming to the US.
It may be a common sense issue in the fact that if we want to show the world that, as your buddy Obama says, we are tolerant of differing viewpoints, what the kid said shouldn't matter.
Yet you and Obama agree that the kid should be punished for exorcising his God given / nature given right of free speech.
You agree with Obama.
Why am I not shocked?
"Of course is isn't an issue of free speech to you because you don't believe in free speech."
---Here we go again with the personal attacks. You know nothing of what I believe or don't believe. I am not the topic, the topic is a stupid British teenager and a bored government official who saw a threat where there was no threat.
"You are trying to change the argument away from the core issue, that the kid was punished by the US government for something that we hold dear - the right of free speech."
---If the kid had been in America he would have been covered by the constitution, but in England our laws do not apply.
"It isn't an issue of immigration because the kid wasn't planning on coming to the US."
---Of course he was planning on coming to the US, that's the whole point of being a tourist, and this is an issue because he was denied the privilege of entering our country.
"It may be a common sense issue in the fact that if we want to show the world that, as your buddy Obama says, we are tolerant of differing viewpoints, what the kid said shouldn't matter."
---First of all, I do not care about the world. I care about America. Unlike your friend Obama, I don't give a crap how the world perceives us. Secondly, the people who come to our country come at our discretion.
"Yet you and Obama agree that the kid should be punished for exorcising his God given / nature given right of free speech."
---I see, so according to your standards, anyone should be able to come to America no matter what they say about us.
Where's your sense of pride? Obama may be an asshole but he is our elected asshole, it is up to Americans to call him an asshole, that is our privilege, that is not the privilege of foreigners in foreign lands. This to me is not that different from The Dixie Chicks bitching about Bush in England. You want to complain about America? You do it in America.
So sorry British kid, I'm glad you don't like Obama but it's too bad you didn't know your place. Next time you want to attack our elected folly please do so annonymously from the safety of a blog.
---Here we go again with the personal attacks.
It is not a personal attack to note what you believe.
---If the kid had been in America he would have been covered by the constitution, but in England our laws do not apply.
So you believe that laws should be able to strip or restrict natural rights?
---Of course he was planning on coming to the US,
This is what is so frustrating about talking with you. Your ignorance of the subject matter is astounding.
---First of all, I do not care about the world. I care about America.
America is founded on the principle of free speech. You obviously don't care about America because you don't care about its founding principles. You continually show that you are against free speech.
---I see, so according to your standards, anyone should be able to come to America no matter what they say about us.
Us? What us? The kid made a comment about an individual. He wasn't saying that America was rotten. He wasn't saying that all Americans are "pricks." He was making an observation about one person. And yes, I would support the right to come to this country to discuss it with him as most people (and all conservatives) would support his right to free speech. You don't support that right.
I'm glad you don't like Obama but it's too bad you didn't know your place.
His place? Wow. That is some statement coming from someone who can't keep a job, won't accept one when it is offered to him, lives in his mother's basement using government money to hire hookers.
"Your place." Gee, where have I heard that from? Oh yeah..... those on the left say it when they have no cognizant argument and want to trot out the "don't do as I do, do as I say" mantra.
"So you believe that laws should be able to strip or restrict natural rights?"
---Natural rights? Like owning a gun? Oh wait, that's heavily regulated, in fact, if I want to buy a gun I have to fill forms, put up with a waiting period, and then make sure that I'm not packing while at the airport, the bank, a school, a post office or anywhere else where they prohibit that. Of course, my natural rights don't matter, instead I must bend over for the natural rights of a British foreigner. That's just peachy.
"America is founded on the principle of free speech. You obviously don't care about America because you don't care about its founding principles. You continually show that you are against free speech."
--I have defended porn and so-called hate speech, have I not? Then again, porn isn't free speech to a puritan like you.
"His place? Wow. That is some statement coming from someone who can't keep a job, won't accept one when it is offered to him, lives in his mother's basement using government money to hire hookers."
---Ha, I've just been offered a job. I'm gonna be a chauffeur for a private company. Happy? By the way, my fridge is running out of Diet Cokes, would you mind bringing some? Oh wait, you don't know where I live, yet you do know about the government money to hire hookers, how the hell is that possible?
---Natural rights? Like owning a gun?
I can always count on you to illustrate your ignorance of a subject.
--I have defended porn and so-called hate speech, have I not? Then again, porn isn't free speech to a puritan like you.
Thank you for making my point. You defend it because you agree with porn. That is what you do. You support that which you agree with. That which you disagree with, you attack - like the kid here. I have said that from the beginning. You keep proving me right.
---Ha, I've just been offered a job. I'm gonna be a chauffeur for a private company.
Well good for you. I am sure that you will report all of your tips to the IRS, right? I am sure that you will use the money to move out of your mother's basement, right? Nah. Why give up a perfectly good free ride.
yet you do know about the government money to hire hookers, how the hell is that possible?
Well, let's see, you have said that you weren't working. You don't have an income other than what other tax payers provide for you, and you still say that you are out hiring hookers.
