Muslims steamed by South Park satire
We read:
"A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week.
RevolutionMuslim.com posted the warning following the 200th episode of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's "South Park," which included a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad disguised in a bear suit. The Web posting also included a graphic photo of Theo van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 after making a documentary on violence against Muslim women.
"We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," the posting reads. "This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

Isn't it nice how some groups are required to be tolerant and some aren't?
Why isn't that website taken down for threatening murder, or those responsible for the threats prosecuted?!
If he is wearing a bear suit, how do they know it is mohammed?
Isn't it nice to know the adherents to the religion of peace are so kind as to warn those who offend them of the probable consequences of their actions?

I think RevolutionMuslim just handed the South Park cartoonists fresh material with which to expose the nature of Islam and mock those making the threats. I would not be surprised if Trey Parker and Matt Stone turns this into a new South Park episode.
I would have to agree with Robert... here comes the next imaginationland episode. I mean, they didn't even show Mohammed at all, like they did in an earlier season. So if you're going to kill someone for something, have some consistency.
In the past I never had much respect for South Park, but now I think I was hasty. Anyone who publicly tweeks the nose of a religion, especially one as paranoid as Islam, gets my respect.

The bear ended up being Santa Claus instead, but apparently Comedy Central bleeped all audio of people saying Mohammed, and then bleeped the ending lesson (presumably about free speech). Doing any of this does not protect them from Extremists, who will just see in headlines, "Mohammed in American satire show", and base their thoughts from that, whereas most of both episodes, the main characters are involved in trying to protect Mohammed from exploitation by other characters. This of course is a hilarious, but perhaps unintentional, commentary on the exploitation of Mohammed by terrorists and others who use his name and religion to promote violence and try to suppress free speech rights
The bleeping was annoying, maybe they did it on purpose to make a point about censorship, but when you have Jesus watching internet porn and Buddha snorting coke, at the very least you could shown Mohamed.
Either way, the west has to ridicule Mohamed because if we don't, the Muslims will learn they can intimidate us.
I wonder if the bleeping of the name Mohammed was intentional by the creators of South Park, to drive their message home. Since they censored out the image of Tom Cruise when he got an injection of Mohammed goo, I think it might have been the theme of the episode. I do wish they had grown a bigger pair and shown the pedophile prophet (thanks Bastiat, I will use that from now on.).

Another thought someone else expressed elsewhere, but which was most appropriate - they could have used Pedo-bear as Mohammed's costume, and it would have been doubly appropriate! (The Devil cannot stand to be mocked, so I'll go out of my way to mock him.)

I finally got to view episodes 200 and 201, and the big irony is how all the characters said Mohammed had this special power of being one who couldn't be mocked, and all the celebrities wanted that same power. And so did all the "gingers". This site has the episodes:
