WA decision:  The Bible is Not Harmful to Children

For six years, a Christian daycare, true to its mission, had a biblical poster on its walls depicting the “Tree of Good and Evil” along with the “Tree of Life” and a Bible verse from Proverbs. A government licensor demanded that the Christian daycare tear down the poster, claiming that it was “too negative” and could “intimidate” the children. The licensor went so far as to state that religious speech by a Christian daycare violated state law.

The ACLJ contacted the appropriate Washington state officials explaining that the state could not determine that the Bible was bad for children and that this type of censorship was in direct violation of the First Amendment. The state reversed the licensor’s decision and allowed the daycare to continue to operate with the biblical poster intact.

This is certainly a positive ruling, and still Gideon Bibles are being removed from hotels, Christianity is being eradicated from schools, businesses, and public places.

All the while, Islam creeps in slowly, methodically, and relentlessly. One day soon, we Christians who have done NOTHING to ensure our Constitutional rights will be blind-sided when Islam takes over as the rule of the land.

Agree, and people wonder WHY our kids are acting like animals and killing people in record numbers!

How about wondering why ADULTS are acting like animals and commiting all kinds of crimes against others. If we have no one to answer to for what we do, what is left to restrain human nature? The threat of some punishment from the state? We.can all see.how well that works.

The bible belongs in the FANTASY/MYTHOLOGY section of the book store.

Must be rather disconcerting for all you atheists out there. Being the know it alls that you are, you simply must know your very existence can vanish in the wink of an eye. Sleep tight.

Fear and loathing with veiled threats is all that religion provides.

Children should not threatened or intimidated with posters etc. - whether religious or political in nature.

9:45 Most atheists do not claim to know what happens after they die but most assume that they will not be aware of anything; whereas most theists just hope by faith that they will survive death, but at the same time must fear the 50/50 chance of going either to an eternal paradise or suffer in Hell for eternity (or some equivalent). Whatever the case a survival of death would hardly leave you as the same kind of person as you identify yourself with now, you would virtually be another "person" - so in effect "you" would be dead!
