Must not say that poor people are polluters

Most Indians and Chinese are still poor farmers who cook their food by using such fuels as wood and animal dung. And a couple of billion people doing that gives off a LOT of smoke -- so much that you can see it from space. But you must not mention the origin of what you can see.
"A controversial United Nations report claiming "atmospheric brown clouds" generated by Asia are harming the world's climate, agriculture and health has created a storm of controversy in India, which has slammed it as part of Western pressure on Asia's efforts to counter global warming.

The brown cloud was more pointedly called the "Asian brown cloud" in an earlier United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) report in 2002, before protests from India and China led it to be changed to the politically-correct "atmospheric brown cloud".

"Climate Change" (Global Warming is inaccurate, both because the climate in general is no longer "warming" and it has NEVER been a Global phenomenon - c.f. southern hemisphere) has always been highly politicized.

To see it fall afoul of the PC crowd is just more proof that it's not "science" but "politics."

Yep, blame the "rich Americans" for causing global warming while totally overlooking those who continue to pollute with complete disregard. Get out of the f***ing stone age!.

This is why it would have been pointless for the U.S. to adopt Kyoto. All it would have done would have been to even further stifle the U.S. economy while giving the gross poluters a free pass.

Obviously, the solution is to send fat Al (we've only got minutes to live) Gore out there and give those folks one of his phony lectures. Oh, and sell them some of his phony carbon credits too!

Which is the goal of Kyoto (well, ruining the US and the EU)...
So while the US adopting Kyoto is pointless for the US (though not for Obama, who has the same goals) it's rather essential for those who drafted the economic suicide pact.

Why haven't these people looked into alternative types of fuel for cooking, such as coal or even cow dung? Indian people are cutting down every tree in the jungles of India which is devastating the already dwindling and "highly endangered" Tiger population. As it is, there are only a few hundred left in the wild. Those precious animals are far more important to the planet than are the masses living there in "extreme" poverty!
