From NY Governor Patterson as quoted in the NY Sun:
"Governor Paterson, delivering a speech today at the NAACP's 99th annual convention at Cincinnati, suggested that the defeat of Senator Obama in the presidential election would be a victory for racism in America.
So it's vote for the black guy or you are a racist. Not vote for him because you agree on policy reasons, but because you are a racist if you disagree with him on those policy issues. What utter unadulterated nonsense. If Patterson keeps up this kind of rhetoric people are going to think he is not very smart. They might also think he is a racist bigot who opposes McCain because he is not black.
A defeat for McCain is a victory for ageism bigots?
ReplyDeleteThis whole campaign is being run on this premise. You cannot ask Obama real questions on his positions, voting record, or specific plans because then you are a racist. It is the most useless election year in history. What does he stand for? You can't ask that you racist!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't hold my breath on seeing someone opposed to McCain because of his skin color as racist. Its clearly not racism, its affirmative action!

ReplyDeleteThat was a statement made by NYS’s new “unelected”, blind, black (and not at all bright) governor at a massive NAACP gathering. Apparently, if you’re black, being a racist (or using the word nigger) is perfectly acceptable, but only if you’re black! Also apparent is that many believe if you’re White and (not) a racist, you’re a racist!
"Gov." Paterson is a hack who’s been hanging around in the shadows of NY politics for years. He’s done nothing and accomplished nothing for the people of this state. His only claim to fame is the fact that he’s been an obedient ultra-Leftist dupe, which is precisely why he was chosen to be Lt. governor by ex-gov. Idiot Spitzer. (sit in your little office and keep your mouth shut!)
Do you recall hearing all this talk about race and racism prior to Obama running for the White House? Have you noticed how many black officials, both public and private, are now saying how racist this country is, as though reading from a prepared script? That’s not to say that some degree of racism didn’t exist before he popped-up, but was it the “crisis” we’re being told it is? It is also not to say that racism is exclusive to Whites, as some would have us believe. IT IS NOT! In fact, some of the most racist people I’ve seen are black!
So could it be that Obama’s handlers knew from day-1 that their only real shot at the WH would be to play the race card by reintroducing racism into the national debate? By discussing (and creating) a “crisis” that didn’t really exist? IMO, YES!...... GSP
How typical of an outright socialist to call someone else a racist. His very statement proves he's the racist! Oh, that's right. Blacks can't be racists, can they.
