BBC radio presenter is sacked after calling Christian campaigner 'bigoted' for saying homosexuality is a sin

Good to see a Leftist bigot get the shaft

A BBC radio presenter has been sacked after calling a Christian campaigner 'bigoted' for saying homosexuality is a sin.

Iain Lee labelled Bible verses ‘homophobic’ during a heated debate with Libby Powell from campaign group Christian Concern on BBC Three Counties Radio - and described her as a ‘bigot’.

They were discussing the case of Christian minister Barry Trayhorn who was disciplined by prison authorities for quoting verses from the Bible during a service that were deemed to be homophobic.

But Mr Lee, 42, has since apologised for causing offence, and the BBC said the language and tone of his interview were ‘at several points inappropriate’. It has now been confirmed he has left his job.

And a BBC spokesman told MailOnline: 'Iain Lee will no longer be presenting his shows on the station but we want to take this opportunity to thank him and wish him well for the future.'

It comes after the corporation said in a complaint ruling last week: ‘Iain Lee described comments by Rev Trayhorn as “obnoxious” and “poisonous” and called Ms Powell “bigoted”.

How is God "afraid" of homosexuality?

God hates Gay sex but loves the smell of blood sacrifices (the Bible says so). Which is more weird?

The LGBT "crowd" are only intolerant of people who promote intolerance of them first. If religion didn't attack Gays, Gays wouldn't attack religion - why would they need to. There is no Gay "holy book" saying "Christianity is a sin" etc.

And what is the Christian "agenda" - to demonize Gays - campaign against their civil rights even when it's law - deny them services if possible - treat them as evil and beneath contempt. Oh yes 6:57, the LGBT crowd are sure intolerant bigots if they ever try to stand up for themselves!!

Yep, how many gay-owned hotels refuse to accept christians, or how many gay caterers refused to give a service to christians, or how many gays employed to process marriage or other licenses refuse to deal with christians. No, only so-called christians do that!

Before any grammar-nazis jump on the 6:21 AM comment - the last sentence obviously referred to discriminating against Gays and not fellow Christians!
